Gladioli litter the stage
As Caesar resumes his position
Extending his arms wide
He takes the first of many bows
Sprinkling the audience
With each of his dips
With armloads of bright red poppies
The first of the audience
Has begun to arrive
Hear their mighty roar
Leo needs to be entertained
With an impatience bred for war
Their attention is hard to hold
So the scenes on the dias
Unfurl with the quickness of weeds
The night skies lit up
With Perseid Showers
Late as always
Virgo joins the audience
Perfectly attired in flowing linen
They sit primly, ready to take in
The rest of summer's show
Flashes of peridot, sardonyx, and spinel
From the crowd, dazzles the eye
As they gasp upon the sight of the Reverend
Taking center stage to tell you about his Dream
With the heat beating down upon them
Their inspiration grows
Time passes quickly during the final leg
As Caesar escorts the dog days out
He makes way for the harvest to begin soon
