at the crossroads

it feels like it doesn't matter

By M.Published 6 months ago 1 min read

Seeking two paths,

And caring about none

Why did the quiet road

Feel so boring?

\

Mind's a muscle

Made to feel the strain

But now my frown's

A grimace

\

I've seen your picture:

A daffodil.

I want to say I'm sorry

I'd like to take it easy

If I ever touched contentedness,

It was when we were together.

\

But I wasn't trained for calm

I was trained for crises

I learned to love the struggle

and curse 'till I'm on top.

\

There's always something new.

There's always something wrong.

I wish I could have taught you.

I wish you could have taught me.

\

I sell my pain on vocal now,

and barter it for views.

It doesn't matter really.

You'll never read this shit.
