Ashes of a Pink Rose
Hot flames ignite from passion it burned the rose and uk

Ashes of a Pink Rose
A pink rose opened soft and warm
it held my heart against the storm
your touch was gentle your breath was near
a whisper sweet for me to hear
The petals glowed with secret fire
they fed my soul they lit desire
your eyes were deep your hands were mine
I drank your love like sacred wine
The night was long the world stood still
a fever burned against my will
your mouth was heat your words were flame
I lost myself I bore the name
The rose grew pink with every kiss
I thought of nothing only this
your arms around me fierce and tight
a blaze that kept away the night
But smoke will rise when fire runs wild
the rose once tender turned defiled
the thorns grew sharp they cut my skin
a warning hid so deep within
Your voice grew cold your eyes grew black
the fire turned and would not slack
the rose that bloomed in love and trust
fell broken down to ash and dust
I felt the burn I felt the sting
the ruin of a fragile thing
the love we lit became a pyre
a rose destroyed by raging fire
No petals left no gentle grace
only the hatred in your face
the garden scorched the promise dead
a pink rose burned to ash instead
