This poem came to me after learning of the passing of Tom Bradbury. Everyone who had the privilege of interacting with him or reading his work will never forget him. The world has lost a truly beautiful voice.

No longer bound by the laws of man

I take flight on wings I never knew I had

I feel my consciousness expanding up and out

Infinitely

At first it feels forbidden

Like something I should not experience

As my fear falls away I am free

The shackles of my human life no longer restrain me

Suddenly I am everywhere at once

Soaring through the air

Around the room

Around the world

Time itself exists no more

I can go everywhere and be anything

I can see the ones I’ve lost

There is no more pain

Sorrow is vanished

Negativity-

A meaning once attached to experiences

Does not exist

I know those who remain cry for me

I no longer have the same emotions

There exists only love

heartbreak
