dawn teased Earth resentful, numbers rise-

sullen whispers nonchalantly announcing keep

the order of home to prison- a sudden reprise.

unseen Armies of Corona lulled cities to sleep,

nobles fall, beggars weep, merchants fade,

be strong when weak and continue the trade.

breathe, in chaos, opportunity lies- repress the dread, mourn the dead.

trust my Midas hand, wise warriors retreat

yet rabbit heart pounds- credit, debit, account bloody red.

one ringgit, two ringgit, no souls on the market street-

a curfew apparently- grills locked, fires extinguished, curtains closed,

drowning, suffocating - how little sold.

online you say? more viewers, potential customers, future roads?

the siege has begun, find a path to sustain.

instagram? facebook? make the net explode!

swarms of rivals, new and old, twittering for the carved vein

insufficient likes, unfollowing followers, wrong buttons pressed,

small battles lost, struggle through the war, muted protest.

a message sent- they lifted the ban!

dare the false hope? the Sun returned and so did the Rain

prepare the wares, clutch the mic- lelong, lelong- ready the van-

sorry? what was extended? conditions changed?

trembling fingers counting loss and gain- still bloody red,

muffled whimpers; man never was the best of planners.

caught one! a coin earned, yes! oh- order cancelled.

another wave, vicious General, Corona returns-

weary bones, calculations in the temple unanswered.

the enemy toils us but faith still burns,

hands, feet, though cold, intact,

breathe again, pray, fight, and adapt.

but bloody red,

bodies, white clothes, flowerbeds.

the end will come, they say.

hold on, they say.
