Arise

A poem

Me and Midjourney

I don’t remember,

when the moss begin to grow

I awoke, I stretched

And the muscles did not go

I do recall,

Holding very still

Keeping peace around me

Grist to the mill

But now it’s time I shiver

Let stubborn roots pull free

Because, even though it hurts

I yearn to be me
