Arcadian rhythm

Nature nurtures

Arcadian rhythms lull me to slumber,

Breath of pure nature, white clouds remember,

Carrying my burden with opulent cushion,

Deliverance of latent fear, caution's illusion.

Ever let forth my good spirits, flow free,

Fearless in stride with geography.

Grateful foundation of fauna and flora,

Heaven's own creatures, taxonomic order.

Incredible remembrance, ancestors long past,

Jealous of nought, with a future to last.

Kinship of broad zoological bounty

Leads me to bless my good fortune a plenty.

Meandering, am I, through all of creation,

Never a drift into dissimulation.

Over and over I'll wander and ramble,

Precious are hedgerow, meadow and bramble.

Quiescent calming by field and by forest,

Ravishing woodlands, countryside honest.

Serenity's salve of sea, surf and sand dune,

Tracing a path around coastal contortion.

Under apple and pear trees I gather below,

Voracious appetite is mine to bestow.

Whether hillside or forest to wander, I know,

Xanthic hue pasture, of summer meadow.

Yearning to bide in serenity's garden,

Zephyr blow breezy, my worries you pardon.

Stunning. This might be my favorite. That meter is sublimity itself! “Jealous of nought, with a future to last. Kinship of broad zoological bounty Leads me to bless my good fortune a plenty. Meandering, am I, through all of creation, Never a drift into dissimulation.” Gorgeous!

This is so beautiful and has such a calming rhythm to it. Your choice of language is gorgeous and moves the poem along so naturally.

I've done 3, and not got the knack of making the buggers rhyme! This is skill 👌
