Appetites Of The Top Cats
Greedy cats, fat cats

Appetites Of The Top Cats
High above city streets glowing at night
Top cats sit feeding where power burns bright
Tailored in black with their sharp polished teeth
Predators hiding beneath silk beneath
They feast on ambition and swallow the weak
Scenting out fear every time people speak
Boardroom kings ruling from glittering heights
Turning whole lives into profits by night
Appetites endless as oceans in storm
Never enough to keep hunger warm
Money stacks higher while morals decay
Greed has a talent for eating souls away
They smile for cameras with elegant grace
Still something savage lives under each face
Eyes cold as winter despite all the gold
Hearts growing emptier more than they hold
Workers collapse while the top cats still dine
Drinking old wines that cost more than lives
Somewhere a mother counts coins in the rain
While towers glow bright from another man’s pain
Yet every empire eventually cracks
Power grows heavy and slowly fights back
Even the richest can choke on desire
Watching their kingdoms collapse into fire
The appetites of the top cats stay vast
Consuming the future while worshipping fast
Still history whispers the same bitter truth
Nothing devours the world more than ruthless greed
