another goddamn night

Nights

By Javier Published about a year ago • 1 min read

you come back.

every goddamn night.

you cut througt my dreams

like an old, rusty knife,

one that doesn´t even hurt right

anymore

but still cuts.

i see you there,

sitting,

somking nothing,

looking at me like we never even were.

and i move closer,

because i´m an idiot,

because i never learned to leave in

time,

beacause i´d rather have your ghosts

than this life full of empty spaces.

i wake up soaked in sweat,

heart pounding loud

in a room that doesn´t even remember

you.

how ridiculous,

dragging your remains around in my

pockets,

dreaming of you,

begging you to come back

when you don´t even know who i was

anymore.

and here i am,

waiting for the next night,

the next wound,

the next dream

where you´ll kill me

a little bit more.
