Angel's Birth

There's more to what you see.

By Cat JenningsPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

One single tear down my cheek,

I feel a presence begin to leak.

My eyes are open wide,

and gaze upon my own blood and flesh.

I see my closest friend dabbing her eyes,

a nurse holding tissues comforting her cries.

All along I felt unprepared,

but this feels so right, just floating there.

Was this the end to what I was?

My life stopped at a distracted bus.

I can't feel a heartbeat or a single bone,

but feel powerful and free yet not alone.

I can feel the love all around me.

This is where I am meant to be,

this is my life long destiny.
