Angel Love

Poem

[Strophe 1]

In a world full of light and splendour,

Where angels float in a wreath of heaven,

There a forbidden love was born

That united souls like a tender shoot.

[Strophe 2]

An angel with wings so pure and clear,

Fell in love with a man,

But their love was not permitted

For between the worlds a boundary deep baptised.

[Strophe 3]

They met secretly in the moonlight,

They embraced, just the two of them alone,

They shared their dreams and their sorrows

Forgetting the rules until the next morning.

[Strophe 4]

But their love could not stand,

The angelic world could not see,

With heavy hearts they had to go,

Understanding the pain of separation forever.

[Strophe 5]

They know their love true and real,

But worlds apart, so unjust,

The angel and man remain ever linked,

In their hearts, dwindled in longing.

[Strophe 6]

The angel's forbidden love endures,

A whisper in the wind, a silent plea,

For in the depths of the universe far

Her happiness waits for eternity.
