Anemones and...

The soft ache of what used to be.

By byEloPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

Daisies, the way you held me tight.

Lilies, how you looked into my eyes.

Violets, how we talked through the night.

Roses, the way your lips kissed mine.

Orchids, your style spoke in silence.

Tulips, how you listened and never judged.

Jasmines, hands in hands we would dance.

But flowers were never meant to last,

Once a bouquet then the past.

About the Creator

byElo

My words flow better through my pen than through my mouth.

I write to make sense of what I feel — love, loss, distance, and everything words can’t quite hold.

Mostly in English, sometimes in French, always from the heart.
