And yet…

You came

By C RPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

You came when I no longer dared to dream,

When all my steps were lost in silent haze,

When my tired heart, worn out by longing,

Had long forgotten love’s familiar blaze.

You slipped in softly, like an April breeze,

With quiet eyes and voice of sudden fate,

And I had not called—but still I’d dreamed of you,

My waiting heart knew how to patiently wait.

I hadn’t known that silence had a name,

Or that my soul had written you in stars,

But when you came, I saw the hidden thread—

This wasn’t chance, but destiny’s memoirs.

You placed your hand upon my restless time,

And turned its passing into something true.

For sometimes what we take as just a moment

Is the life that had been missing… until you.
