don't make time

to read a single word

pay no mind

to a single sentence

I am a sickness

not worth eye movement

energy to process

which often

feels so relentless

I am temptation

which seeps and creaks

stretches and molests

like an untrimmed hedge

reflecting addiction that

festers and spreads

to cast its spell

leaks dopamine's release

to poison the well

shadows encompass

darkness surrounds

and blackness swells

ashes blanket the ground

detracting landscapes

forming vestige shells

suggestive of death

a remnants farewell

I am disease

Run.

don't walk away from me

I am depression
