Unconditional love of a dog.
In a fleeting moment and shifting skies,
A faithful heart emerges where true love lies.
A dog with eyes so bright,
Teaches us unconditional love so high.
Through boundless fields and trails,
A loyal companion, forever be told.
No judgment, no conditions, just pure delight,
In the presence of a love so brilliantly bright.
In every wag of the tail
And paws that dance with no fail,
A language of love that lights up the dark.
A four-legged friend plays with you in the park.
Through seasons of joy and trials that test,
A steadfast ally who gives us his best.
In moments of sorrow, he's there to console,
A warm, furry presence that makes us whole.
When the world seems shattered, he offers his paw,
Unconditional love, a bond so rare,
A dog's heart, an answer to every prayer,
A friend so faithful for all eternity.

Arrested by Necessity
Do you have a favorite place to visit when you're overwhelmed by your thoughts? Do you get overwhelmed by your thoughts? I suppose not everyone experiences the paralyzation that occurs when too many decisions creep in. I get knots in my (ample) stomach that twist and turn into cramps. Within minutes, my pulse increases and I force myself to remain calm, but anxiety starts poking at my chest like a toddler attempting to wake his papa for a snack. The cause of my tension is lost by this time, and my focus turns to slowing my breathing, "staying present in the moment," and remembering where I am and why.
