An Authors' art of Mind

By: Danyel Fields

I am an author and artist as my mind sits to create, opening doors and windows within me to help the flow of things!

Sometimes, me as the author I do not even know what to expect, clear blue skies or mud puddles with the feeling of regret!

Going here and there different things happen inside my mind but why, because everything has to play within the lines.

Daylight is here with green fields, flower beds overflowing with pink, yellows, and different shades of blues.

Twisting into nighttime in a moment notice fading colors, turning into a creepy darkness like hocus pocus.

Sometimes they move slowly in and out, giving me chance to live some of it out like that is what it is about.

Others are erased in the blink of an eye taking another ride why? Not even done with that plot of lines.

Was that for this story or was it for the next? Or from the one before this my mind can never rest!

Stories before and then the ones after melting together, with every line written shaping or making splinters!

Ripples in the water changing time as I know it, slipping into a nothingness then falling into what kind of mess is this?

City streets so bright with lights neon signs guiding to a place out of sight this is the place where I go.

A pub with a dimly lit glow not too many souls come here though, it is the place in my mind just to let myself go.

That is the author and artist inside my mind full of color and yet sometimes a little blind.
