An Alien's Best Friend

Welcome, dear traveler, from a realm unknown,

Upon our proud planet, now your temporary home.

Let me introduce you, to a first-class feature,

Of our little world, in the form of a creature.

No diamond or gold holds its magnificent worth,

No mountain, no river, that surfaces from earth,

For its value exists not in sediment or stone,

But in a tender heart and its warmth alone.

The being of which I impart this tale,

On four humble feet, stands wagging its tail.

Clad in rich fur with eyes shining bright,

It walks in the day and rests in the night.

An earthly creature, oh visitor from the stars,

It barks at the moon and howls at Mars.

Through boundless joy and loyalty replete,

I present to you, the dog, for our first meet.

Neither a predator nor a mere pet,

A companion for life, in love firmly set.

It asks for nothing but love in return,

A noble lesson for us all to learn.

Gaze into its eyes, oh alien so spry,

Therein lies a universe, beneath the earth's sky.

In its love, and its boundless mirth,

You'll find the treasures of our Earth.

So fear not the strange, the realms unexplored,

For you're with a friend, and safety's assured.

May this meeting of species, under the sun's glow,

Reveal to you the beauty that we know.

In each wagging tail, and playful fun,

In every rise and set of our sun,

You'll know the Earth, our home, our tale,

And find peace, dear friend, in a dog without fail.

Alien to Earth, from the galaxies above,

May this creature teach you of Earthly love.

Its loyalty and spirit, expressions so free,

The dog, dear alien, we present to thee.

So let's tread together, we shall not falter,

In harmony with our space invader.

For with a dog, we've bridged the miles,

Uniting galaxies with simple smiles.
