Amor Vincit Omnia
when heaven meets earth
Dear Terra,
I gaze upon your curved form and wonder where we went wrong. We crafted these creatures of all sizes and dispositions; I emboldened them with rich lessons of caring and tending for you. Yet instead of rejuvenating life anew, they stew with one another, forgetting this truth.
What ever shall we do?
I am praised as the sole inhabitor of divinity, while you are deemed the inhibitor of reaching me. The Tall Ones fall upon their knees, crying out in effort to please, carving your skin and making you bleed.
How did our teachings become so misleading?
You are my responsibility; I am your hospitality; you live beside and within me; I love you fierce and endlessly. We cycle, circling, your shape proves this fantastic model, yet my invisible cloak is sought by those who seek pure light.
(But my dear, do they not know it is your embrace that keeps them alive?)
Cry, my sweet. Aer’s winds unsettle the sullied sods, and Mare’s rolling waves are a salve to your sore, scarred skin. You deserve this treat, until you are restored to your royal seat.
No matter how you choose to be, I promise that I will not leave.
(May this bring you an ounce of peace.)
Yours etc.,
Caelus
