American Exorcism

Riding the American rails towards rebirth

Nothing like a fired can 'a beans and some boot soup.

hard & endless---deeply toilsome

never-ending lyrical boredom

a swinging pendulum on opium

turning hobo & riding the rails---an American exorcism

pent-up weariness painted anew

exceedingly liberal & already shrewd

shades of greens sickly suburban

how many connecting transits till the mountains?

luxurious rust---maddeningly under-crowded

underground palatially western & wretched

mostly sooty charcoal mcnally handy

johnny cash ring of fiery---magnanimously cranky

bruising & decayed

transcontinentally cumbersome & delayed

inexpensive but comparatively uneventful

dubiously decrepit---smoky, easily preventable
