Forging mortal men into immortals

Her heart so expensive, yet love as old as vintage.

To some, she’s a goddess - They worship and adore her in their secrets

To others, she’s a dream farfetched - An idol, immortalized in their hearts

To me, she’s a muse, an image of my fantasy - She’s venus – for the sun doesn’t compare.

To the Romans, she’s the goddess of love and beauty, a beauty which enchants.

She’s the brightness that kisses the moon, one whose shadows mortal men cannot behold.

Oh, Venus, a day with you is longer than a year, how you becloud my mind is still a mystery.

Your brightness even Mercury cannot compare to.

Alas! You’re a goddess with a heart.

Ambrosia – The food of the gods which confers immortality upon whoever consumes it.

Alas! A food for the god Olympus himself.

Ambrosia – sustenance nectar. An elixir to men who taste of thee.

One who cleanses the defilement of men and strips away the effect of years.

Oh, how you inflame men with passion, just at the sight of thee.

A consumption reserved for divine beings – men who do not fret at the thought of crossing the thin line between life and death.

Men who do not fear giving up the blood in their veins in exchange for “Ichor”, the blood of immortals.

Ambrosia – Your nectar a fragrant, a delightful liquid, a special kind of honey.

Your powers to confer immortality lie in the healing and cleaning mead that flows sacredness.

Ambrosia – In your temple, men are forged into immortals, especially those who dare to bow down and worship.

I am Ambrosia - Eat of me and be immortal.

Oh wow! That was so damn good! It felt like it came with such ease but was so perfectly worded and laid out. You were right, it definitely had some similarities to my story. A lot of similar word usage and similar themes and the idea of worshipping that perfect entity. I loved it. Really makes me want some ambrosia now! You did such a good job stirring emotion with this!
