Sweaty palms, I'll “prove” my worth,
Awkward dance begins.

"Passion for spreadsheets,"
Loathing this pretentiousness,
Nervous smiles conceal.

Words weave empty tales,
Surely, we both recognise,
This is all a sham?

In case it isn't immediately apparent, this collection of senryu attempts to capture the awkwardness of a job interview for a job that's of no interest beyond the fact I was unemployed and needed a job to afford such luxuries as having a roof over your head and buying groceries.
