Am I Special Enough?

Confused by courtship

I wish that I were special

Different in some way

Would you then notice me?

Maybe even stop to say good day

Would you be my special friend

Tell me, is that what it would take?

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

If only in a crowd, I could stand out

Would that be enough for you

To say yes when I got the courage

And eventually asked you out?

And what if things went further

Would I be special enough to survive?

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

Or do you just ignore me

Because I am special in some way?

Different from all the others

In my actions and the words, I say

I see you talk to others

But I don’t get the time of day.

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

Maybe I should just come right out

Not dilly dally in any way

Just walk right up and make it clear

β€œI think you are gorgeous

And Iβ€˜d like to go out if that is OK?”

Do you think maybe today is my lucky day?

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

[A/n: Trying to meet someone that you like is something I have never been good at. There is always that self-doubt that creeps in even before a word has been uttered. For all those confused by courtship.]

Till next time,

Calvin
