Once it had hooked me

Its onslaught on my senses

Kept me wanting more

*

Needing so much more

My self control it ruined

Infected my psyche

*

Marred what was sacred

Promised satisfaction, lies

Left me wanting more

*

Destroyed innocence

Eradicator of trust

Intimacy soiled

*

Never fully cured

Always in recovery

Everyday battle

*

Thanks for reading!
