I'm debating grad school but grad school will do nothing but distract me

I work to live because living is not allowed to just be

Living is not allowed to be free

I stare out the window as a thunder-dust-storm happens and will continue to as the years go by

And we are dogs who are hungry

And dogs who are dangerous

And dogs who will stop listening to owners who don't want to feed them

And find our own place where we share food

And see that we are not dogs

and we are not above any other beings on this earth

And we can flourish without money

And money has been the wall

And the walls come crumbling down

To see our grandmothers again

And we are allowed to have wrinkled old hands without having to pay to live

We are a universal coincidence

And we do not have to be a mistake

Coincidences are not mistakes

But both mistakes and coincidences can enjoy themselves

As we stare at stars that tell us who we are

Through astronomy and astrology

And time is an illusion we must push past

Pulling it off our skin as it is smooth, rough, and wrinkled

And we are no larger than atoms

And we are no smaller than galaxies

As all stare at each other

As voids staring back

And all are insignificant

And all are significant

And death is the shedding of any illusion

Whether it continues or not
