Alone (You Are Not)
Poem for anyone that needs it.
When all your thoughts are sad and lonely
When all your pains feel way too much
When every bit of happiness is tainted
When every bit of joy has dissipated
Know that you are not alone
In mind and spirit
I've been there, I know how you feel
Though our battles are different
and our wars unique
We've all faced those shadows
The kind that loom over you
That follow you, stalk you
that keep you wide awake
That stop you from rising
Some are still under their cloak
Suffering in silence
Some have come into the light
Know that you are not alone
