Alone

What are we fighting for?

By ROXANNE ELKASSISPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Your kiss still lingers,

a ghost on my lips.

It leaves me more lost then ever

and only adds to the internal conflict.

I sit here alone,

wondering how what was once so beautiful

could become so vile and disfigured.

Two months later...

I sit here by myself again.

A pain in my chest intense

yet dull and wonder

how much longer we can go

on like this for.

Tainted love is what you offer

and nothing more.

at least not anymore

you no longer make me feel wanted.

Your kisses, when you give them

leave me feeling stained

and foolish.
