Almost Lovers

I think one of the most heartbreaking things about this life is that there are so many people that I will never know.

So many of their mysteries that I will never discover.

So many people that I might have loved, if only our paths would have ever crossed.

But perhaps the silver lining,

is that the line between strangers to lovers,

the line between accident an opportunity,

is exactly that: so thin, that all we need to do is simply stuff across it.

It’s so easy for lovers to turn into strangers, but I think it’s important to remember that it’s just as easy to turn a stranger into a lover.
