Almost Love

a memory that never became a moment, yet never left

Almost Love

A chord hums somewhere and suddenly you’re there again

sunlight caught in your eyes like something I almost understood

your fingers brushing mine, teaching silence how to speak

we wore that summer like a secret no one else could read

and I still don’t know if it was love or just almost.
