Serviced

I can feel the resentment pulsing off you,

bitter for the passion I could not be.

I used you.

While you were seeking deeply within me.

I think I had more thrill, in...the thought of you.

I had hoped your lips tasted like mangoes,

from the Caribbean sun-kissed trees.

There was such an igniting fire in your kisses.

First, with a sense of hunger

and urgency - like a starved middle child.

Then,

a with a wave of calm and sincerity.

It felt good to be the want, but it's better to be the need.

I prefer to be the need.

Watched you slowly to the swirls of lust,

settling like embers of a quiet fire.

And

even us too, became undone.

and

even trust too, comes to dust.
