I traveled

far

some went

she came

to wish in wells

to disturb the tame

Wolf’s hands fed seeds, my brain

my body

    bled.

 Her empty nets

seeking pets, somber –     miles away

my breath

            bore her name

  (easy prey).

 East coast

records played    folk

through incense smoke

           Wolf’s fingers

            kissed by lips,

                             lingered

    I said not all, but I wandered—lost—

until frost settled and I signed the cross/fed with  fodder/rivers of water/still

   I wonder

        where I was.
