wings flutter
heart beat
with fresh blood
bright red, oxygenated
with hope and love
freedom
coursing through
flaccid veins
startled, now dilated
shoring a wild river
each potent beat
I saw an
exuberance
I sensed a heart
full of love
and loved beyond
measure
I heard
a voice
bubbling over
with excitement
you wanted me to
to see what
you were seeing and
for the first time
I saw you free
a symphony
ethereal synchrony
pulse of a life
awakened
proof of life
soared upward
toward the heavens
angels' song
abruptly hushed
bend an ear to hear
a new song of
spirit's revival
they capture every note
and begin singing
heavenly choir
lifting notes drifting
up from the
realm between
heaven and earth
a feather floats slowly
to the ground.
