Here is a small, strange, and telling thing:

I have always loved the airport.

My heart for the liminal,

and moments ungrounded -

this is at the root

of our distance.

Spurning roots,

I chose

flight

I love how you ended your poem with flight! Using a metaphor with wings for running away from a relationship is clever, clever, clever! Echos of Free Bird!

My favourite I’ve seen so far for this challenge!! 🤍🫶🏻🌟

Oh, this is wonderful! A softer more subtle tone with beautiful airiness, but bearing a burden of sadness. Choice rarely comes without sacrifice and this captures that so stunningly! Another spellbinding piece, Gabriel!

I love how you worked with the syllable requirements to increase the momentum leading up to the word flight- the poem reads faster up to the last line.

This is beautifully crafted, suggestive and arresting. Liminality is alluring: dwelling always between is strange but safe! Nice work!

Damn, this is so good, Gabriel! I love especially this part "My heart for the liminal and moments ungrounded" But, really, it's an exquisite piece from start to finish. Well done!
