I'm horrified!
You all left me here,
In this ghostly house,
Watching snow fall down the window-
pane;
But I shall not moan!
I will laugh at those chattering jaws,
And;
Blue fingers,
I see when you walk through the door,
Complaining about today's icy temperatures.
Aaaah!
There's nothing quite like sitting in front
of the orange glow of a cozy fire,
Sipping soup,
And listening to the mellow sound of music on
my stereo,
As I await your return.
Soup heals the horrors of being alone in this
lonely house,
On a cold winters day.
In you come,
Complaining that your cockles are so cold,
They are falling off!
I laugh a comforting silent laugh,
Because;
While you are freezing,
My fingers and toes have been beautifully warmed by
a rich, spicy soup.
All I can say is,
Ahhh soup!
