Ah Cannae Wait
Poem of hope and reflection looking ahead to 2024!
Ah cannae wait fir next year
Ah chance tae dae it right
Fir ah change, wae oot fear
Fir ah change, shining light
Of success an' good times
Pal, look, that even rhymes
Ah cannae wait fir next year
Wae jist a wee bit mare
than ah month tae go
Sayonnara, 2023
ah'm oot o' sympathy

Thanks for reading!
Author's Notes: Felt compelled to take a bit of a Scots approach tae mah wee ditty aboot next year!
It's fair to say 2023 has been a mixed bag for me. I did win the Extraterrestrial Challenge here on Vocal and just for the sake of self-promotion and stuff and because I am proud, here is the link:
Apart from that, the rest of the year has been a bit hit and miss, if I am honest. Anyway. No moping, just hoping.
If you're keen, here are a few mare bits of writing by myself.

I could hear this! Bravo 👏 And well done on the Extraterrestrial challenge 😁
This was such a fun "wee ditty" to read!!! I agree, bring on 2024...here's hoping! I'm going back to take another read of this out loud.
Hope ain't my thing but since it's yours, I hope you have a wonderful life from next year onwards!
Nicely done & done with it.
Good one !! Hoping 2024 is not a bore, filled with lots of good things!
