Again, I Will

By IcedPan

I will rise again,

To be the pride of yours.

To lift the rock that crashed you,

To shine through the darkness in you.

To hold you tight, like you used to do.

I will stand again,

To be there for you.

To be the cheerleader of your dream,

To shout out my hope from my lungs.

To be your strongest backbone, like you used to be.

I will sing again,

To the string that connected us.

To be an oriole that echoes the melody,

To be the one who records your kindness and love,

To be the one who carries your spirit and lives.

I will try again,

To not let you down,

To let you have faith in me,

To let you remember me,

To let you dream with me,

Again.

I hold no more hopes and cheers.

All that’s left are sorrow and tears.

The loneliness in me is so surreal,

I refuse to accept the truth,

Though I must, in the future.

I will smile again.

I will dance again.

With the love I saved,

With the spirit I fake.

I can do this no more.

Struggle has drowned me more and more,

I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t swim.

I am moulded.

I am trapped.

In the dilemma of chasing you to the end.

I will see you again.

To be yours again.

To hold your hands again.

Like we used to do.

Please don’t look back,

You shall not look back.

Keep marching forward,

Until the very end.

I will find you again,

Like how you found me back then.
