Afterthoughts in my head

It’s is too late we’re dead. Our love is over

Afterthoughts in my head

After thoughts running through my head,

Too late to speak, the words unsaid.

Our love has faded, cold and still,

A quiet ache I cannot kill.

The moments lost, words left unsaid,

Now just echoes, love is dead.

I hold the silence like a stone,

And face this ending on my own.

The promises we couldn’t keep,

Now drift like shadows in my sleep.

Your voice, a whisper, faint and thin,

A distant ghost beneath my skin.

Regret, a river, slow and deep,

Where memories and sorrows meet.

No second chances left to find,

Just empty rooms within my mind.

So here I stand, a heart undone,

Beneath a pale and hollow sun.

No words to change the past we made,

Just love’s cold echo, bound to fade.
