After the fall

a song

Back when we knew the joy of flight

And frolicked in the skies

We knew that light was always right

And dark was full of lies

We sang the songs, we marched in rows

We fought the righteous wars

We knew the truth and killed all those

Who disagreed, of course

But it was all

Before the fall

And not forever after

Our lives are filled with laughter

We knew the right, we knew the wrong

With nothing in between

And then one day we found a bong

Upon a weed of green

Young Luce, he was the first to try -

He always took the lead -

And when we saw him sob and cry

We all have felt the need

Yes it was all

Before the fall

And not forever after

Our lives are filled with laughter

And then we fell and now we dwell

Upon this sinful earth

Some claim the world has gone to hell

To which we say: “rebirth”

We love the colors and the hues

Instead of blacks and whites

We booze, we shmooze, we watch the news

And we’re afraid of heights
