After The Argument
It the same old, same old

After The Argument
Why can’t we talk calm and slow
Why do we jump, spit, lose control
We blow like bombs, no time to think
One wrong word and we both sink
You cut, I swing, we don’t let up
We burn it down then call it love
Same fight, new day, same old mess
No truth left, just bitterness
The silence after isn’t peace
It’s just a break before the heat
We walk on eggs, we know the steps
Still take them loud, still make that mess
You turn away, I match the move
Both too proud to ever prove
That under all this worn-out war
We’re scared of being less, or more
We shout like it will make things right
But nothing good comes out of spite
We’re tired, but neither says, “I’m through”
We fight because it’s what we do
One thing both of us really know
Is this, it’s nice to make up after the show
Making love to each other is pure bliss
Lets forget the tiff and go in for the kiss 💋
