With those run away with me eyes

If this isn’t home
Maybe I want it to be.
Admittedly,
I have fantasies of
Dancing in the evenings
To the sound of your guitar.
What it would be like to
Wake up to your breakfast
And be kissed by you daily,
As contented by your ghost stories
As the sweet silence we’d share.
I’d be the keeper of your secrets,
Painting your favorite colors
Over your walls.
You’d be the place I can be myself,
Recording your dulcet voice
Over my old tapes;
An affinity becomes an eternity.
If we’re not careful
We may live happily ever after.
We may find the things we stopped looking for.
