Afar

True love

By Gregory AndersonPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Standing afar

In an instant I knew it was you

Emotions came in a rush

All I knew I had to get to you

The sound of my heart beating in my chest

So loud it seemed everyone could hear

My lips begin to form the words to make it clear

Staring across the room my how love consumes

clearly I knew I wanted to spend my life with you

In the room so many to see you were the only one for me

Love at first glance the essence of true romance

The moment I caught your eye brighter than all the stars in the sky

All the times you prayed to heaven above

In the pit of your belly those butterflies of love

So amazing that it is simply even hard to breathe

This feeling that could knock you to your knees

So perfect it fits better than any glove the only words I can say I am in love

love poems
