If adversity gets the better of you
don't over your mistakes chew
hope for a better tomorrow
today you must weather the sorrow
Each challenge is a lesson learnt
we've all had our fingers burnt
we must the bad times swallow
and try not too long to wallow
It's not a sprint but a marathon
Olympic runners our own light shone
our own path we must follow
don't let your words ring hollow
Walk your own path
then you can own the aftermath
whatever will be will be
but at least the choice was made by thee
Enjoy each precious moment
whether joy or torment
don't let your views be shallow
to everyone a smile and hello
