Adventures Of October

I walked down a mosaic path through the trees

lined with colorful stars from the sky

To a large wooden door with a magical key

and decided to give it a try

With a twist and a click, the door opened wide

to sights I will never get over

a beautiful world appeared before my eyes

with a sign that read; welcome to October

When I stepped through the door, it was as if time had stopped

I felt an overwhelming need to explore

The sights and the sounds of October unlocked

and I decided to take in some more

Fairies and maidens, and knights in shined armor

Aligned pathways to fantastical visions

Jousters on horseback, large snakes and their charmers

apple cider and playful musicians

I joined in the celebration, as I took it all in

never wanting to leave and go home

I know for certain I will come back again

and revisit this world of October
