like anything
they come easy
naturally
so perfectly timed
and then they're gone.
wooshed away like the smoke of a candle
a memory no longer needed.
but perfectly on time so soon after.
again and again
the tap keeps dripping
then seals shut
ready to release when the world is at its weakest
and the hearts of those so willing to hate are at their kindest
oh,
kindness.
so fragile,
skittish.
a bunny in a field. constantly hunted. always waiting.
the chase is so close now.
oh well,
it will never last.
time to move on.
but wait!
don't forget your awards
the medals and jewels you keep safe within your heart
because you might need to prove
that all those tears
are simply lies made of diamonds
that turn to gold.

Beautifully written.
Unfortunately, there are so many people who are like this. Loved your poem!
Nice💖💬I too keep my Awards in my Heart 🏆
Loved the title...that suckered me in. Then your sparse but powerful words - great work, Ruby!
