A Zinneke's Take on Time Travel

Forge the future in the Eternal present

By Katherine D. GrahamPublished 4 months ago 2 min read

It is easy to see the past as a scene,

but to forge the future in the eternal present, we must follow a dream.

*

Each second is measured equally, as if part of a line,

but classic theories, relativity and strings show there is more to time.

We can tap into a timeless source, with no beginning or close,

beyond the rhythm of sunrise and sunset, and tides ebbs and flows.

As the moon waxes and wanes between new to full,

each moment is the best ever, it moves without push and pull.

*

Lifetimes of dark sorrow, sadness and grief

are punctuated by lightness with joyous relief.

As the hourglass turns, various essences repeat.

We unfurl as leaflets on ferns, and resist or enjoy nature’s neat feat.

*

I saw your spark before I met you.

When lightning struck at first sight it was a blatant clue,

that intuition is a form of reincarnation – a confusing strange thing,

a testament to the effects that lifestyle, genes and environment can bring.

*

Perhaps in pure or inbred situations, the same entity can recreate

but in a Heinz 57, probability Q chances are not that great.

The Zinneke, a mixed breed mutt with cosmopolitan origins,

reacts using diverse material, from its various storage bins.

The result allows a form of time travel. As messages ignite,

the effects may render long, short, near, far, dim or sharp sight.

*

When I told you I saw you before I met you and drew an image true.

you shrugged and said 'that happens sometimes' , it's nothing new.

You said you wished to die when the wisteria was in bloom.

When you died, it was as you wanted, with their scent in the room.

*

We hold an uncanny intuition, that perceives deep connections.

Childhood dreams can come true with few corrections.

As a child, I was sitting by your side as you lay in bed.

You shared a story that revealed what was in your head.

After surgery, this story unfolded over four days and nights.

You were an apple gardener, each moment held infinity’s delights.

*

We are eternally in debt, to powers beyond which are rarely believed.

They surpass time present, past and future, at more than light speed

Zeitgeber barcodes, are read as spiralling rays of white light

become black when absorbed or are dispersed in colours bright.

*

We choose our path, and sometimes knit the soul's heart of hearts,

following a Romeo and Juliet trope that seeks and finds new starts.

The memories of lifetimes are seeded in each heart and soul.

Humbly witness when they make a dream become whole.

*

It is easy to see the past as a scene,

but to forge the future in the eternal present, we must follow the dream.
