A world of senses

a poem inspired by the five senses

By Moh ArabyPublished about a year ago 1 min read

A world of senses, so vast and so bright,

Where life is a canvas, painted in light,

Where every moment, is a symphony of sound,

And every breath, a fragrance profound.

The taste of salt, on the ocean breeze,

The feeling of sand, between my toes and my knees,

The sight of waves, crashing on the shore,

The sound of seagulls, calling out for more.

I close my eyes, and breathe in deep,

The salty air, that makes my heart leap,

The scent of seaweed, and saltwater spray,

Fills my senses, and takes me away.

I take a bite, of a fresh, juicy peach,

The sweet, tangy flavor, within my reach,

The texture so soft, and so delicate,

It's a taste of heaven, so exquisite.

I hear the rustling of leaves, on the trees,

As I walk through the forest, so wild and so free,

The chirping of birds, the buzzing of bees,

It's a world of wonder, a symphony of trees.

The scent of pine, so fresh and so green,

Fills my senses, like a dream,

That takes me back, to a childhood place,

Where I roamed free, in nature's embrace.

I reach out, and touch a tree's rough bark,

Feeling the texture, so raw and so stark,

The strength and resilience, of nature's design,

It's a wonder of creation, so divine.

The colors of the forest, so rich and so warm,

From the golden sunlight, to the shadows that form,

From the reds and yellows, of the autumn leaves,

To the greens of the moss, that softly weaves.

I listen to the sound, of a babbling brook,

As it flows and ripples, through the forest nook,

The water's music, so soothing and pure,

It's a symphony of nature, that will endure.

Each sense, a gift, a treasure to hold,

A world of wonder, that never grows old,

Take a moment, and breathe it all in,

And let the magic of nature, begin.
