senses

a poem inspired by the five senses

By Moh ArabyPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In a world of wonder and delight,

Where senses come alive at night,

The scent of flowers fills the air,

While sweet melodies float everywhere.

The taste of honey on my tongue,

The feeling of warmth from the sun,

The sight of colors all around,

The sound of leaves rustling on the ground.

I close my eyes and take a breath,

Feeling the coolness of the air in my chest,

The smell of freshly baked bread,

Fills my senses, my heart and my head.

I take a bite, and savor the taste,

Of the buttery bread, that leaves no waste,

The crunch as I chew, the softness inside,

It's a symphony of flavors, a perfect ride.

I hear the birds chirping in the trees,

As I walk through fields of green,

The rustling of leaves, the gentle breeze,

It's a magical world, a living dream.

The scent of roses, so sweet and pure,

Fills my senses, and I'm sure,

That life is beautiful, and full of grace,

Each moment a treasure, a sacred space.

I reach out and touch a flower's petal,

Feeling the softness, the smoothness, the metal,

Of nature's gift, so delicate and fine,

It's a work of art, a treasure divine.

The colors of the world around,

Are a feast for the eyes, a pleasure profound,

From the blue of the sky, to the green of the grass,

It's a wonderland, a sight unsurpassed.

I listen to the music of the world,

The sounds of life, of nature unfurled,

The laughter of children, the chirping of birds,

It's a symphony of sounds, a magical word.

Each sense, a gift, a treasure untold,

A world of wonder, waiting to unfold,

Take a moment, and breathe it all in,

And let the magic of life, begin.
