In a house far away from the town,

Lived a woman with eyes filled with frown,

Her days filled with pain,

Her tears flowed like rain,

In isolation, her heart began to drown.

She longed to escape from her plight,

To break free from the chains that held tight,

But her husband was cruel,

A heartless old fool,

And her dreams disappeared from sight.

Then one day, a friend came to call,

A beacon of hope, standing tall,

With a plan to break free,

From her misery,

The woman was ready to give it her all.

With tears streaming down her face,

She made her escape at a furious pace,

And though fear filled her heart,

She refused to fall apart,

For she knew she'd finally won the race.

Now she lives in a world full of light,

With the sun shining oh so bright,

No longer in pain,

No tears fall like rain,

She's free from the darkness of her old life.
