A Window Facing Tomorrow
A Ghazal of Awakening, Hope, and the First Light of Return
By Rahatweb WebsitePublished 4 months ago • 1 min read

This ghazal is a meditation on renewal and anticipation. Set at the threshold of dawn, it explores how hope survives even after long periods of waiting. The beloved becomes a symbol of awakening, guiding the heart from darkness toward light.
Dawn rose softly from the silent lips of the sky,
And your name took flight like a bird soaring high.
Longing to behold your face, my heart traveled far,
Like a wave leaving the comfort of its shore.
The dust of weariness fell from the shoulders of night,
And time itself awakened through a breath of light.
A window still stands open toward the morning glow,
And hope for your return continues to grow.
