I allowed him to hit me
because my dumbass loved him,
and I valued his heart more
than the bruises in my heart.
Soon my heart will die.

excerpt 4/27/24 Have I told you that you are the warmest womb to ever have revived me? The doctors won’t listen. I visit her daily until I can’t anymore. Recently, I spoke with a family member who I struggled to catch up with for a longer timespan than I would’ve liked and what struck me was how societal templates filled in on successive days routinely suck our time into a vacuum of seemingly infernal deficiency.
