A Warriors Last Chance At Love

Have you ever wanted to live in another place

or felt like you belonged within another time?

I've always been alone in space,

never feeling like there was a place that's mine.

A life I have lived, one of great conscience,

while others chose more the roads of greed.

Never being one who was willing to sit on the fence,

I delved into the fray to fulfill a great need.

Beaten, forgotten, and worst of all betrayed

only to arise from the ashes of my demise,

shocked of course that it was you on display.

I finally saw you without a warrior's eyes.

Without a warrior's eyes

you stared into mine.

Without a warrior's eyes,

you showed it would all be fine.

Without a warrior's eyes,

light entered my life, carried on the wings of a dove.

The first time without a warrior's eyes

was the first sight I saw my true love.

It was all fine deep in my heart

because I'd always known a warrior dies with a warrior's eyes

and I knew it from the very start.

When I lost a warrior's eyes,

you'd already stolen my heart.
